Supports the daily business and non-clinical aspects of operations of dental practices within a geographic region.  Essential to this role is your ability to develop close working partnerships with our Dentists and Office Managers.   As the Regional Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading, training and developing a team of Operations Mangers to ensure the highest standards of patient care.  The Regional Director of Operations will support dental practices in Northern Ohio, Northern Indiana and Michigan.  Must be willing to travel overnight 50% of the time.  multi-site healthcare management experience required.  Strong preference for a candidate with multi-site dental practice management.


  • Build strong and productive partnerships with dentists and office teams
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high performance teams through training/education, coaching, expectation setting and accountability
  • Ensure effective execution of operational standards, including compliance with established company policies, procedures, OSHA, and government regulations
  • Provide support to Office Manager to help manage controllable expenses
  • Make effective decisions based on data analysis, organizational observations, and cost controls
  • Support and achieve performance targets and budgeted goals
  • Identify opportunities within the dental practices and create improvement action plans
  • Ensure consistent communication to COO and/or executive team
  • Work collaboratively with other support departments
  • Identify issues early, appropriately assess the situation and develop a plan for resolution
  • Challenge, encourage and inspire teams to achieve desired results
  • Respond to clinical and operational concerns timely and effectively
  • Develop operating and procedures and protocols
  • Represent EDP with doctors, clinical staff, vendors and business partners


  • Five (5) plus years of successful growth operations experience in a multi-unit, multi-state healthcare services business. Functional skills in general management with an emphasis towards growth operations
  • Significant P&L responsibility and experience with budget management, personnel management, team building, mergers & acquisitions and real estate. Experience in the veterinary industry, human medical / dental industry or multi-site retail industry will be viewed positively
  • Evidence of management style, which builds alliances within the business and emphasizes high morale, collegiality, effective teamwork and high moral standards
  • Willing to spend significant time in the field to thoroughly understand the business and the practical issues so to better lead, grow, motivate, strategize, retain and problem-solve with others. The RDO will be willing to travel (overnight) as much as 50% of the time on occasion
  • Bachelor’s degree required with MBA preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
